Dr. Connie Arispe obtained her medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, is board certified in family medicine, and received her functional medicine certification from The Institute for Functional Medicine. She combines her conventional and functional medicine training to provide as comprehensive, holistic care as possible. She searches for underlying contributors to chronic medical problems such as genetic factors, nutritional insufficiencies, inflammatory foods, toxins, underlying infections, prior trauma and chronic stress. She offers a variety of natural treatment measures to support the body’s natural capacity to heal, but also uses conventional medications when needed. She is so passionate about trying to identify and manage the underlying root causes of her patients’ health issues that she jokingly refers to the MD in her title as “medical detective.”
