Radu Hagau, MD, specializes in cardiology at MercyOne North Iowa Heart Center. His care focuses on helping you live a longer, happier life by preventing disabilities from chronic conditions. Cardiovascular imaging is essential to this care, and he has pursued training in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, peripheral vascular ultrasound and cardiac CT. Raised in a family of physicians, he aspired at an early age to be like his father and grandfather, both dedicated and compassionate cardiologists. His fascination for the heart grew as he learned about its physiology, disease processes and innovative treatments. He’s most rewarded by helping you return to good health and treating you as he would his own family. When he’s not working, Dr. Hagau’s world revolves around his family. They enjoy playing tennis, swimming and spending time together.
